Now I know!

Now I know my Toe is Broken. (The "This little piggy had none" toe.)

Now I know why my son is in the 90% for weight, why he is so mellow and why he farts so much:

Look at my happy baby! (I'm so lucky.)

Even better, a happy mommy!

It's official

Everyone keeps asking, how much does he weigh now?

Well, we took a luggage scale and weighed his car seat, which was 8 lbs.

Then we put Hoss in the seat and weighted it again, which was 21 lbs!

Yup. He weighs in at 13 lbs at just 7 weeks and 3 days of age.

Two Posts in One Day??

Hey, make sure you noticed that I added two movies to the end of the post before this one. I added them just a little while ago.

After we got ourselves all organized, we took some nice picture! (No feet because putting the shoes on hurt too much! Don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow...

Every day is another day in front of the camera

Richie's cousin Eli sent up his baby rocking chair as a Richie gift...Thanks Eli! Here's his first time sitting in it!

Daddy and baby-boy

Richie holding daddy's finger from daddy's perspective

From Richie's perspective...

Almost caught a smile...he always sees the camera coming.

What is all of this stuff in my way?

So cute..

Big Yawn!

Tummy time!

Just what he needs. Another new outfit! He already had more clothes than both of his parents together!

We went to visit some friends that we know from Michigan!
Daddy knew the little girl in blue when she was the size of the girl in pink. She was afraid of me then, and she afraid of me now. Smart girl! :-)

New baby's abound! Actually, this baby is not that new...

Can you think of two cuter faces to greet your arrival?

Huh, I cannot think of a good caption for this picture of Trish. Surely, something to do with the ironing board...Maybe the cheesy grin...

Everyone having fun! Actually, there was so much noise that Richie started getting a little upset and we had to take him outside for a little while...

Some musical enjoyment anyone?

Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch! I just broke my second from the little toe on my right foot. Ouch!

I accidentally kicked a table while walking back into the bed room. Ouch!

How do I know it's broken? It's not because I'm a radiologist, no. It's because I'm a doctor and I know that my little toe isn't suppose to click when I move it around. Ouch!

It's taped up now, and once it's had a chance to clot I'll be loading up on the ibuprofen. Ouch!

Move pictures of Richie to come, once I can get down the stairs to my office...Ouch!

Oh, go check out the private blog, if you know the site! Ouch!

Another New Week of Life

We spent a week with just the three of us while Omee when to visit a friend of hers in PA. Things went pretty well after the second day or so, but it's nice to have Omee back to help out. Richie has suffered with a little contact dermatitis and infant acne, which is clearing up nicely. He's staying awake for long stretches without demanding a bottle in his face. Although, he's learned that he does not have to open his eyes to get fed at night! The only down side is, occasionally, he's have one of his waking spells with the 4am feeding. Oh well. He's still giving us pretty nice stretches of sleep, so I should not complain. Here are some new pictures:

We had a lazy Saturday morning snuggling in bed. Well, he really dosen't snuggle yet. It's more that he just doesn't cry (too much) while I cuddle him.)

Just so you know that he still has his moments! He still crys when we take a feeding break to burp him. I think I've decided that it's NOT because he thinks we won' give him more food, but rather that he knows there's a REAL risk he'll fall asleep while being burped and then he won't want more.

This is what usually takes place after that face is made. You can imagine the noise out of his mouth!

One of the fun things over this weekend is he has really started to smile a lot! It's tough to catch and here's mommy trying to bring one out...

It's an Omee-feeding shot!

With a post-feed nap on Omee's tummy! Hooray for Tummy Time!

Fish Face! Daddy figured something out...

Richie, apparently, finds Fish Face Funny!

Who would have thought?

As a (relatively) new daddy, I'm still being amazed on a daily basis. Some by Richie, other days by things Richie related. (Lack of quality sleep comes to mind.) Today was a new revelation that I never would have anticipated. Today, I expressed to my loving wife, exactly how excited I was that "I could finally change a poopie diaper without Richie crying." I never realized that would be a goal to which I would look forward.

Another New Day!

Here's Oma/Omie/Grannie and Richie

We tried to go see the cherry blossoms in D.C. Here's the only picture we got. Don't ask.

The Amazing! Levitating Baby Richie! (My other hand is operating the camera.)

Richie is have more time where he's awake, but not requiring a bottle to be in his mouth!

Mommie and Richie sacked out. If you want to object to where he's sleeping, e-mail mommy, not daddy! Actually, I'm okay with it, but I don't want to hear it. (It really does help him when he's really congested and we don't want to freak him out by sucking out his nose...which he REALLY doesn't like.)
